These two exquisite vintage handbags are our latest lucky finds! Both made by the reputable handbag maker Waldybag, they are beautifully crafted inside and out with matching coin purses and attention to detail. Waldybags are becoming highly collectible vintage items, this is no surprise as they are such high quality handbags.
This stunning red faux snakeskin leather handbag is lined with bright satin with a matching coin purse.
This gorgeous blue leather handbag is beautifully lined in contrasting blue and grey leather with a matching coin purse.
A little about Waldybag
The maker of these bags was H.Wald & Co. Ltd., England and was founded about 70 years ago. They merged with Rayne, manufacturer of handbags and shoes to the Queen, sometime in the 1950s. During the 40s and 50s these stylish bags were often featured in English Vogue. Unfortunately the company dissolved in the 1990s.

Blue Glass Faux Agate Large Vintage Sphinx Pendant
In the spotlight today is this extravagantly large sized vintage signed Sphinx pendant. The central stone is made from swirled glass to look like agate stone, this is surrounded by a chunky and overly ornate frame. This is such an over-the-top pendant it would certainly add drama to any outfit!

A little bit about Sphinx jewellery…
The Sphinx Co. was founded by R. Root in 1948. They made high quality and beautifully designed costume jewellery made to imitate precious jewellery. Their jewellery was manufactured in a factory in Chiswick, England which employed 200 to 300 people. They also designed jewellery for Kenneth Jay Lane, Butler and Wilson, Saks 5the Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales and other department stores.

Blue Aurora Borealis 60s Flower Earrings Signed Lisner
In the spotlight today are these magnificent signed Lisner earrings, they are so sparkly and glamorous! They are covered in beautiful glitzy blue aurora borealis rhinestones and have black enamelled petals. These darling earrings will certainly add some style and glamour to your outfit!

A little bit about Lisner jewellery…

Lisner began to produce jewellery in the early 1900s as D. Lisner and Company in NYC. They produced the majority of their jewellery in the 1950s. A lot of their jewellery is similar to Coro jewellery and the Richelieu line is one of their best. Some Lisner jewellery is of higher quality using superior aurora borealis stones and colourful plastic or lucite cabochons (jellies) adorned with rhinestones. By the late 1970s they were called the Lisner-Richelieu Corporation after purchasing Richelieu-Jewelry, but was soon sold again. The Lisner mark has changed over the years, from block capitals from 1935, in script from 1938 and block capitals with an elongated L underlining the other letters from 1959. All marks were in continual use once designed, this makes pieces very difficult to age!
